Published in Archive 2016

On September 12 to 23, 2016, Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) organized a Regional Training Course (Summer School) on Applied Econometric Analysis. The aim of the Summer School was to strengthen the capacity of young economists in Central Asia, for quantitative research, economic policy analysis, and, in particular, for econometric analysis of socioeconomic phenomena in the context of economics and related social sciences.

It was the third summer school on applied econometrics and was the first of its kind that went beyond Uzbekistan. There were participants from neighboring Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan as well as young economists from various universities of Uzbekistan, research institutes, and NGOs.
