Programme overview

Westminster International University in Tashkent launches a course of professional development "Finance: a simple and transparent system of management accounting, control and management". The course is aimed theoretical knowledge and practical skills development for understanding and analyzing the main financial situations of a modern company in a market environment.
Learning the key financial concepts and methods applied in the financial management of the organization are the goals of the goals of the proposed course. The programme provides participants’ acquaintance with practical situations encountered by companies in financial strategy planning, making managerial decisions taking into account the applicability of various methods depending on the realities of the company. It is not a secret that the right financial decision affects both the cost and the work of the organisation as a whole. These cases will facilitate understanding and analyzing of the financial principles required for a stable growth of the organisation. In addition, the interactivity of trainings and discussions during classes will assist in the illustration of a specific problem from different angles to find the most optimal solution.

The number of places for the course is limited to 15.
This course is taught in Russian hence a good working knowledge of the language is essential.

This course will cover the following topics:

2. Accounting, reporting and control issues
3. Fundamentals of financial analysis
4. Budgeting
5. Flexible budgeting
6. Financial instruments
7. Business valuation


By the end of the programme you will:
• get a comprehension of general management of the company, learn how to interpret financial statements and provide an adequate assessment of the performance of any company;
• master effective budgeting skills and techniques for successful management of all processes;
• learn to conduct an effective analysis of financial activities, you will also understand what a financial instrument means and how to use it;
• you will have a clear understanding of the business management system, strategy, tactics and operational management of the company;
• you will be able to assess the value of your business for yourself, and track the gain which comes from implementing effective management system;
• receive a certificate of completion of the course;
