Commercial Arbitration Moot

On March 31, 2017 Westminster International University students  and Tashkent State Law University students competed against each other. Students had the opportunity to publicly display their legal knowledge and skills. This event, specifically created for our students, seeks to foster the study of international arbitration for the resolution of  business disputes and investment disputes.

The competition focuses primarily on oral advocacy before a panel of arbitration experts. Participants are required to submit a brief argument outline. No other written memorandum is required. The moot consists of submitting written memoranda prior to the moot on designated dates for both sides of the dispute (Claimant and Respondent in legal terminology). The oral arguments phase of the moot is held in Vienna. The moot was carried out within the framework of the 24th annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
