English Language Requirements for WIUT ADMISSION 2020-21

As a result of the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak English language requirements for the applicants wanting to start their studies at WIUT in academic year 2020/21 has been changed. These changes include an extension of the tests we will accept as proof of English ability:

  • IELTS Academic
  • IELTS Indicator: This test is available temporarily while IELTS testing is currently suspended due to COVID-19. WIUT will be accepting this test for entry to the Foundation course only. It will not apply for applicants seeking WIUT Scholarship.
  • TOEFL (IBT)
  • Pearson PTE Academic
  • Cambridge Assessment English
  • GCSE
  • IGCSE
  • European Baccalaureate English
  • LanguageCert International ESOL SELT (B2)
  • The Duolingo English Test (95-100): The Duolingo English test results will be accepted as evidence of English language ability for all levels of study. We will be accepting these qualifications on an interim basis where IELTS testing is disrupted for CIFS and all degree level courses. If you are able to take IELTS/TOEFL in the usual way, we still strongly recommend that you do so. Please make sure you choose 'graduate' degree level option and list WIUT so that your results are shared with us.
