MA in International Business Management

MA in International Business Management (MAIBM) is validated by the University of Westminster (London, U.K.) and delivered at WIUT. The course has been designed to equip the students with a wide base of knowledge, understanding, and skills relevant to pursuing a career in international business. The course focuses on a range of business management disciplines and it helps you to build up critical thinking skills, presentation, negotiation and communication skills, sound decision making and evidence-based problem-solving skills, all of which are desirable for effective business personnel and leaders in a fast-changing global business context.

Entry requirements for the course?

  • A first degree from a recognized institution with a minimum of second lower class honors (2:2 or equivalent)
  • To be at least 22 years old on the date of enrollment
  • To have at least 12 months of full-time paid work experience or equivalent on the date of enrollment
  • For those applicants whose first degree was not taught and assessed in English, an IELTS score of at least 6.5 (including 6.0 in writing) or equivalent

The application process consists of submission of an application form, and, if the minimum criteria are met, an interview with the applicant is conducted by a panel of 2-3 members of the course team, including normally the course leader.

Business Research Methods
The module aims to develop students’ knowledge of effective and academic research design at master’s level and provide guidance on the purpose and design of literature reviews, strategies of research, problem definition and ethical considerations; ensure students have an advanced understanding of how the range of qualitative and quantitative approaches can be most appropriately applied in business management (sub)contexts; develop students’ ability to identify/collect and analyse relevant data and literature sources and reference them appropriately; apply this knowledge and establish the most effectual research design and method for their project, and write a successful research proposal.
