Maths & Logic Hackathon 2020

As part of engagement week, Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) hosted a Programming contest “Maths & Logic Hackathon 2020” that invited students from four universities with varying degrees and levels of study to participate in a competition. Recognised as a logic and programming competition, Maths & Logic Hackathon is aimed not only at challenging problem-solving and coding skills, but also at working collaboratively, developing team work and soft skills.

Participating universities included Westminster International University in Tashkent, Inha University, University of Westminster (London) and Informatics Institute of Technology (Sri-Lanka).

The winning team was from IIT – “l4bispeepz”.  The best team from WIUT – Victory – got second place.

Having seen the impressive level of engagement of students in problem solving and team collaboration, the university is planning to organize more contests in this area.  Stay tuned and watch this space for more info!
