On 12th February 2021, The Centre for Professional and Lifelong Education (CPLE) at WIUT launched its "Professional Courses for Muhammad al-Xorazmiy Specialised Schools Teachers".
The course provides participants with the understanding and application of modern pedagogical technologies, approaches and methods for the development of skills used in school education practice. An intensive 30-hour course was organised based on the goals and expectations of teaching staff in specialised schools who regularly strive to improve their personal and professional practice.
The responsibility for passing the course was entrusted to qualified professors, among them: Khikmatullo Urazbaev, Erkin Muhammedov, Lilia Makovskaya, Iroda Saidazimova and Dr. Diana Akhmedjanova.
After successfully completing the courses, teachers will be provided with course completion certificates from WIUT.
The Centre for Professional and Lifelong Education (CPLE) at Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) launched its «Professional Courses for English and Mathematics Teachers» in secondary schools in the Mirabad district of Tashkent on February 12, 2021.
This professional development programme, which included 76 hours of training in English and 50 hours of training course in Mathematics, was initiated in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan UP-6108 of 06.11.2020. The course gave WIUT staff the opportunity to share their international experience in methodology and teaching pedagogy. The courses are conducted on the university's campus in both the traditional and remote format. Participants are exposed to new and innovative methods for presenting material, as well as high-quality online lessons, as many classes for teachers at WIUT are conducted on the university's online platform (WIUT Learning Board).
The course for English teachers was attended by approximately 100 teachers and that for Mathematics teachers by around 50 teachers, with representation from all secondary schools in the Mirabad district of Tashkent. The course is conducted and led WIUT staff including: Dr. Ikrom Rikhsiboev, Abbos Utkirov and Salohiddin Urokov.
