This study investigates the role of female entrepreneurship in empowering women in Uzbekistan. The methods involve both qualitative and quantitative instruments. In the light of the recent changes in government intentions to encourage entrepreneurship, and especially entrepreneurship as well as taking measure towards empowering women in society, researchers were inspired to see how far it is working. The practical implication of this paper includes identifying whether the opportunities created by the government are working throughout the country and which barriers still exist.
