New Academic Talent competition among current Level 6 and 7 students, writing their final year dissertations. Applicants submit their final year project (20-50 pages) and an extended abstract (1-2 pages) to the first round. Selected finalists then make their poster presentation at WIUT’s Career Week in the second round. Papers will be judged based on originality, substance, analytical nature, and clarity of writing. We plan to invite potential investors, employers and academics for this event.
Prize for the winner consists of a Tablet PC, WIUT apparel, and get the opportunity to have lunch with the Deans and Supervisors. The winner’s article will also be featured on wiut.uz and Research Digest. Special prize will also be given for the best project with implications for Uzbekistan. In sum, students have the opportunity to present themselves, their dissertation and potentially gain funding and/or a job in an innovative firm, network and receive valuable comments.
Deadline for submissions is 26 March, 2018.
Last year winner was Diyora Abdurakhmanova, Commercial Law graduate, with her undergraduate thesis “Italian Serie A: Law as an Impediment to Construction and Ren-ovation of Stadiums”.
