Westminster International University in Tashkent organised “The Inclusive University Conference” together with the Parliament of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education and the British Council.
The Conference addressed a number of critical issues related to the future development of an inclusive Higher Education in Uzbekistan. The participants looked specifically at issues related to women’s empowerment, girls’ education, access to education for people with special educational needs and those representing vulnerable and low income families.
During the Conference’s workshops, the participants discussed specific case studies and examples of existing barriers and explored how these can be dealt with in the short and longer term.
