New Partnership with UNICEF

Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT), the Ministry of Health and UNICEF in Uzbekistan launch partnership to implement credit-based modular education system for general practitioners and conduct costing of national adolescent health strategy.

WIUT is the first international university in Uzbekistan. Its mission is to provide International Standards of Education and Research Opportunities that contribute to the Intellectual, Social and Professional development of the Central Asian communities as well as Global Community.

This strategic partnership of WIUT, the Ministry of Health and UNICEF is an exciting opportunity to join efforts in order to:

- improve quality of pre-service professional education through implementation of credit-based modular education system for general practitioners; 

- recognize the special needs of adolescents and ensure their needs are addressed both comprehensively and sensitively through costing of national adolescent health strategy and action plan; and

- Improve the understanding of adolescent’s health, well-being and sustainable development, and encourage dialogue and participation of all implementing partners in initiatives aimed at improving adolescent’s lives.
