WIUT and UoW Alumni Engagement Stories

WIUT continues its innovative project - the University “Connecting Leaders” breakfast series held at Bon! Cafe. Bakhrom Mirkasimov and UoW representatives, including Prof. Peter Bonfield met with successful alumni and employers. The business breakfast serves as a productive platform for representatives from such leading brands as Artel, Bon!, Mali, Dentons, Korzinka, Ipak Yuli Bank and Tass Vision.

The leadership of WIUT and UoW visited several alumni who represent different industries. The insightful trip commenced with a visit to Toshkent Gullari, where Mukhrim Abdulazizov, the current CEO, recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of this family business. Then the delegation met with Doniyor Rasulov, PR Manager of Korzinka.uz, who provided a comprehensive overview of the company's daily store operations and its future plans. Finally the team went to the Olivia factory, where Ziyodulla Artikhodjaev, CEO and Co-owner, graciously showcased the manufacturing processes of the factory.

Supporting Vulnerable Youths

In support of the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the area of empowering and supporting vulnerable youths through university collaboration, WIUT's Rector Bakhrom Mirkasimov and his colleagues, had a series of meetings to learn the complex challenges of 52 at-risk youth between the ages of 14-30 who reside across five districts in the city of Tashkent.

Regular and sincere conversations with families have helped to provide young people with access and opportunities to vocational training, job/internship placement, financial and medical resources as well as fun activities for their personal and professional growth. More and more, we support and believe in them to be able to realise their potential and hopes.
