Dear Colleagues, Students, and Parents,

Welcome to Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT)! We proudly stand as the first international university in Uzbekistan, established in 2002 by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and accredited by the University of Westminster in London. Over the past 22 years, WIUT has nurtured numerous successful professionals who have made significant contributions to both global and Uzbek communities.

At WIUT, we bring together highly qualified scholars, lecturers, and tutors with international experience to create a vibrant academic community. Our university is open to all who aspire to learn, discover, create, and implement ideas that advance our nation and enhance the well-being of the entire community. We provide a supportive environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.

Our unique approach bridges the esteemed British education system with the Culture of Uzbekistan. We offer bachelor’s and master’s programmes that meet international standards, designed to produce top-tier specialists in fields such as Business, Economics, Finance, Business Information Systems, and Law. Our students benefit from cutting-edge educational resources and innovative teaching methods, equipping them to excel in both global and local labour markets.

Strengthening our research capacity is a core mission at WIUT. We offer Postgraduate degrees, including PhDs and DScs, and are committed to expanding our research endeavours.

We are incredibly proud of our alumni, who have achieved success across various sectors of the economy, finance, including business, IT, governmental and non-governmental organisations. Many have embarked on impressive careers in international companies and organisations, reflecting the global reach and impact of a WIUT education.

Our commitment extends beyond academics. WIUT actively supports the “Uzbekistan 2030” Strategy, and the Five Initiatives proposed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. We engage young people in cultural, sporting, and educational activities, develop their skills in modern information technologies, and foster a love for reading. Our goal is to shape a new generation equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
