Westminster International University in Tashkent runs an Airport Welcome service for international students. The transport will be organized to take you from your airport of arrival to your accommodation free of charge. Please note that the free airport welcome service is only available from Tashkent International Airport prior to the student induction program.

Please ensure that you complete the online form by the relevant deadline date so that arrangements can be made for you. Once you have submitted your online form, you will receive an email to confirm that your space has been booked as well as further instructions. Please note that specific details of your airport transfer will be sent to you by email about a week before you are due to arrive. If you do not inform the international office of your arrival details, there will be no arrangements made for you. Visa-free nationalities

Citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Ukraine DO NOT NEED A VISA to enter the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Where to apply for Uzbekistan Visa?

You can apply for a visa where Uzbekistan Embassy or Consulate exists. Please note that the required documents and visa fees may differ based on your citizenship and where you apply.

Visa at the airport

It is possible to obtain a visa at the international arrivals lounge of Tashkent International Airport if there is no Uzbekistan Embassy or Consulate in the country, where you are originating your flight to Uzbekistan.
You can download the official visa application form to apply for a student visa at evisa.mfa.uz. This application form is valid for all Uzbekistan Embassies and Consulates.

Important note: Do not enter Uzbekistan on a visitor’s visa with the intention of being registered as a student at a later date. You can only enter the country with a student visa.

Registration& Customs

The essential part of the Uzbekistan travel guide is the Registration of Stay; as soon as you arrive in Uzbekistan, you have 72 hours to get registered at the local Immigration Authorities of Uzbekistan. Customs officers will require the declaration form upon arrival and at the departure.
