WIUT Teaching, Learning, and Research Symposium 2024!
The Centre for Professional and Lifelong Education (CPLE) and the Graduate School of WIUT recently hosted the annual Teaching, Learning, and Research Symposium. This year's theme was "Embedding Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Higher Education Curriculum and Research Clusters."
The symposium brought together educators, researchers, and higher education experts. They discussed innovative strategies, best practices, and the challenges of incorporating ESD and SDGs into higher education.
The key thematic areas included:
• Curriculum Design
• Pedagogical Strategies
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration
• Student Involvement and Empowerment
• Institutional Transformation
The event featured a keynote presentation, sharing of best practices, research work, interactive Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities. The announcement of the Symposium winners marked the conclusion of the event.
The first place was awarded to Tamilla Tagieva for her outstanding presentation on SDG Integration into Legal Education.
Tamilla Tagieva earned the chance to showcase her work and present WIUT at the University of Westminster's Learning & Teaching Symposium in London in September 2024, which will be centred around "Incorporating Westminster's Strategic Priorities into teaching, learning, and assessment".
