JOB TITLE: Promotion Manager
DEPARTMENT: Admissions and Recruitment Section
REPORTS TO: Head of Admissions and Recruitment Section
PURPOSE: To undertake responsibilities for the development of WIUT’s advertising and promotional activities. The post holder has to clearly understand the desire of customers and advise Head of Admissions and Recruitment to apply certain promotion and advertising tools.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To create and monitor the WIUT promotional strategy, in particular pre-foundation; foundation; undergraduate; postgraduate programs in local and global market;
- To be responsible for the advertisements made by the Admissions and Recruitment section;
- To prepare promotional content in 3 languages for all marketing materials to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency, and positive customer experience;
- To identify the right key messages as a technical task for Marketing and Communications department;
- To manage and monitor the organization of promotional events by Admissions and Recruitment team for prospective students and stakeholders;
- To plan advertisement campaign and collaborate with Marketing and Communications department to launch the planned campaigns;
- To work with Graphic Designer (Multimedia also) to ensure that the visual elements complement the technical task;
- To stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas; provide thought leadership and perspective for the adoption of these new ideas where appropriate;
- To work closely with the Purchasing department to order billboards, posters, banners, rollups, leaflets, brochures and etc.;
- To manage the team who is responsible for the promotion of student recruitment;
- To analyze and measure promotion outcomes and effectiveness of advertisement towards student recruitment;
- To contribute to the general activities of the marketing team;
- To carry out other duties as required in consultation with the Head of Admissions and Recruitment.
Person specification
The person appointed to this post should be able to demonstrate the following essential elements:
Qualifications
- Have a first degree, preferably in a subject area that relates to Marketing/Management/ Journalism or relevant field;
- Any satisfactory combination of experience and training in those fields;
- Excellent writing and grammar skills in English, Uzbek and Russian are required.
Experience
- Experience of managing people
- Experience in developing social network sites
Aptitudes, Abilities, Skills and Personal Qualities
- In-depth understanding of advertising artwork and copywriting
- Excellent communication skills
- Innovative, with practical skills in publications
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, able to adopt ideas and to produce practical results.
- Familiarity with social media
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Good ICT skills
- Good analytical and research skills
- A strong sense of corporate commitment to the mission and objectives of the University.
