8.2.4 Employment policy modern slavery
No modern slavery, no forced labour, no human trafficking, and no child labour.
Our university is committed to a zero-tolerance approach toward modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, and child labour. We actively work to ensure that all university operations, employment practices, and supply chain engagements strictly adhere to ethical standards.
To uphold this policy, we enforce rigorous employment practices. Every job position within our institution is filled voluntarily and under fair conditions, with clear guidelines on hours, wages, and rights. We strictly prohibit any form of coercion, threats, or exploitation in employment. All employees work by choice, with freedom to leave employment under legal terms.
We maintain strict supply chain oversight to prevent any involvement with suppliers, contractors, or partners who engage in forced labour or trafficking. All potential suppliers undergo a thorough vetting process to ensure compliance with our ethical standards. We conduct regular reviews and risk assessments of our partnerships to ensure they align with our anti-slavery commitments. If any partner fails to meet these standards, we take immediate action to address the issue, up to and including terminating the relationship.
