PURPOSE:

WIUT’s Digital Learning Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing digital learning strategies and solutions to support the university's teaching and learning initiatives. The primary focus of this role is to help design and deliver online learning programs that promote engagement, collaboration, and knowledge retention.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collaborate with WIUT and outside subject matter experts to design and develop engaging digital learning content, including blended and e-learning modules, videos, podcasts, and webinars.
  • Coordination of the WIUT learning management system (LMS) and other digital platforms to ensure that study materials are up to date, accessible, and user-friendly.
  • Conduct needs assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of digital learning solutions to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements.
  • Provide guidance and support to faculty and students on the use of digital learning tools and resources, including troubleshooting technical issues, effective usage, and answering questions about digital courses content.
  • Track online learners' progress and prepare necessary statistical reports.
  • Assist in creating partnerships with local and international institutions with vast experience in online teaching and/or provision of online learning solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, information technologies or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and delivering digital learning solutions, preferably in a higher education environment.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems, and other digital learning technologies.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, instructional designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with adult learning theory is an advantage.
