Westminster International University in Tashkent, in partnership with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, hosted an insightful lecture on cybersecurity and cybercrime prevention. The event featured Lieutenant Colonel Sanjar Komilovich Kasimov from the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who shared his expertise on this critical subject.
Kasimov provided students and staff with practical guidance on countering cyberattacks and securely storing digital data, offering actionable steps to protect virtual assets and emphasising the growing importance of cybersecurity in the digital era. He also covered drug-related crime and religious extremism, outlining prevention measures and the law-enforcement response to these threats.
The initiative raised awareness among young people and the wider community about safeguarding their online presence and promoted a culture of digital security and responsibility.
