On 2 October, Westminster International University in Tashkent hosted the second session of the SDG Course, which focused on SDG 2: Zero Hunger. Our guest speaker, Mr Sherzod Umarov, Assistant Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Uzbekistan, delivered a concentrated and insightful talk on advancing food security and the challenges of sustainable agriculture in the region.
We thank Mr Umarov for his expertise and practical perspective, and we are grateful to all staff and students who attended and contributed to the discussion. The session reinforced the importance of collaborative, evidence-based approaches to tackle hunger and to promote resilient, sustainable food systems across Central Asia.
