Westminster International University in Tashkent recently hosted an esteemed panel of experts from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, InFinBank, and the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the City of Tashkent to engage in an important dialogue on cybersecurity and fraud prevention. This event provided WIUT staff with valuable insights and knowledge to safeguard digital information and heighten awareness of cybersecurity threats.
The panel featured Rustam Baltaev, Head of Department at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, along with InFinBank representatives Pulat Timurovich Salimov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board; Pavel Alekseevich Saprykin, Chief Information Security Specialist; and Maryam Valievna Tuichieva, Marketing Specialist. From the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent City, Senior Lieutenant Mirjalilov Miraziz and Senior Lieutenant Nematov Jakhongir, both from the Department for Combating Information Crimes, shared their expertise.
Their presentations focused on effective strategies for identifying and preventing cyber threats, with particular emphasis on safeguarding bank accounts and recognising signs of transaction fraud. Practical guidance was provided on how to protect sensitive information, detect fraudulent activity, and secure financial data in today’s increasingly digital environment.
