Uzbekistan's Healthcare: Building a Strategic Talent Pool
On October 21, 2024, Westminster International University in Tashkent joined forces with the Center for the Development of Professional Qualification of Medical Workers under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan to launch a programme aimed at developing 120 healthcare specialists across the country.
Mr. Farrukh Sharipov, the Deputy Minister of Health, inaugurated the event with a keynote address. He emphasized the significance of this milestone for the national healthcare system and its alignment with Uzbekistan's long-term strategic goals.
The "International Experience in Healthcare Management and Public Health Preservation" programme is a week-long, 36-credit course within a broader 306-credit curriculum. It encompasses international best practices in healthcare management, ethics, financing, insurance, digital transformation, and legal frameworks.
This initiative seeks to enhance Uzbekistan's healthcare sector by equipping modern professionals with global perspectives, thereby creating a vital talent pool for the country's healthcare system.
