WIUT Computing Students Take 1st and 2nd Place at the Problem-Solving International Hackathon 2026

We are proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement by our Computing students at the Problem-Solving International Hackathon 2026, hosted by the University of Westminster.

This annual hackathon brought together students from partner institutions in London, Tashkent, Colombo and Lalitpur. In total, 151 students across 43 teams competed in a fast-paced contest designed to test logic, mathematics and programming skills.

Winners:

• 1st Place: Nano Banana (WIUT, Uzbekistan): Javohir Ismatullayev, Akbar Avazbekov, Rashidjon Shukurov, Muzaffar Nurillaev

• 2nd Place: Psh Team (WIUT, Uzbekistan): Javohir Hasanov, Amir Kuldashev, Abdullakhon Rahmatov

• 3rd Place: Makalu (The Westminster College, Nepal)

We are especially proud that both 1st and 2nd places were secured by WIUT students, highlighting exceptional analytical thinking, teamwork and technical capability on an international stage. Congratulations!
