On November 29, Westminster International University in Tashkent held a significant event ahead of World AIDS Day, observed globally every year on December 1. Established in 1988, World AIDS Day serves to raise awareness about the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection.
The event featured a guest lecture by Dilafruz Karimova, a leading specialist from the Tashkent city AIDS Centre. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in an informative session focused on the prevention of HIV/AIDS, protective measures, and the critical importance of early diagnosis.
This initiative highlighted WIUT’s commitment to fostering health awareness and promoting informed dialogue on pressing global health challenges among its students and academic community.
