John A. Sweeney, Senior Research Fellow with the UNESCO Chair in Anticipatory Governance and Sustainable Policymaking at the Center for Policy Research (CPRO), recently participated in the Urban Solutions & Sustainability R&D Congress 2023 in Singapore, held on October 4-5. Sweeney presented on “Re-imagining Urban Futures: How Cities Can Leverage Strategic & Transformative Foresight” in Panel Session 1, focusing on a science-based approach to future scenario planning. His presentation highlighted innovative ways for cities to employ strategic foresight in addressing sustainability challenges and envisioning transformative urban futures.
