The Centre for Professional and Lifelong Education under Westminster International University in Tashkent, together with CERGE-EI, is pleased to announce the start of new distance learning courses designed to strengthen your economic and financial thinking with practical, real-world relevance.
Financial Markets
Build a strong foundation in the modern financial system: how markets and institutions work, how interest rates and valuation are determined, and how money and capital markets function. The course also explores the efficient market hypothesis, exchange rates, central banking, and monetary policy in practice. Prerequisite: Introductory Microeconomics.
Applied Microeconomics: From Correlation to Causation
Why does correlation not necessarily mean causation? This course introduces causal analysis in a clear, intuitive, non-technical way - drawing on concepts recognised by the 2021 Nobel Prize in Economics. You will learn key research designs and empirical strategies used to identify causal relationships, supported by figures and graphical explanations. The course also includes reading and discussion of research papers in long-run development and political economy.
To register, complete the form.
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
