Today, Westminster International University in Tashkent opened the Uzbekistan Regional Symposium on Transnational Education, taking place in Tashkent on 3-4 March 2026.
Held under the theme “Quality Assurance and Inclusion in the Context of Growth”, the Symposium brings together higher education leaders and stakeholders to explore how transnational education can expand responsibly, while strengthening quality, widening access, and delivering meaningful outcomes for students and society. On the second day, participants will also visit higher education institutions in Tashkent delivering transnational education programmes.
Organised in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the British Council in Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan’s TNE Good Practice Network, the Symposium is the outcome of the Uzbekistan-UK Education Forum series. This series aims to address core higher education priorities nationally, regionally and globally, and to highlight the key ways these priorities are being advanced through transnational education (TNE) collaborations.
WIUT is proud to contribute to this important dialogue and to support the continued development of a high-quality, inclusive and sustainable higher education landscape.
