Last week, as part of an official visit to Uzbekistan, Mr Federico Failla, Minister Plenipotentiary of Italy overseeing the “5+1” format, visited Westminster International University in Tashkent to explore the country’s higher education system and discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
The discussions centred on expanding academic collaboration, with the Italian side inviting WIUT representatives to participate in summer schools and scientific conferences in Italy. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to joint research initiatives, particularly in sustainable development and water resource management.
