Memorandum of Cooperation signed between WIUT and the Investment Promotion Agency

Westminster International University in Tashkent and the Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, endorsed by the Acting Director Mansurjon Rasulev and WIUT Rector Komiljon Karimov.

The partnership focuses on improving investment legislation, preparing analytical materials and sectoral reviews, and promoting Uzbekistan as an investment destination through joint events and initiatives.

The agreement also opens internship opportunities for WIUT students and graduates, strengthening the bridge between education and industry.

Successful Completion of the “Innovative Teaching Methods” Executive Programme

From 27 August to 15 September 2025, WIUT hosted a three-week executive programme on Innovative Teaching Methods.

The programme was designed to strengthen pedagogical skills and expand understanding of the latest trends in education. Key themes included digital learning technologies, interactive and project-based approaches, techniques to enhance student engagement, and modern methods of assessment.

Participants took part in thematic lectures, hands-on workshops, and collaborative group projects, with a strong focus on teamwork, sharing experience, and developing practical solutions for real educational challenges.

At the conclusion of the programme, certificates were awarded to all participants in recognition of their dedication to professional growth.

WIUT Community warmly congratulates Sardor Bakhtiyorovich Rajabov on his appointment as First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Sardor Rajabov is a WIUT alumnus, having graduated in 2008 with a BA in Business Administration and in 2018 with an LLM in International Commercial Law.

A New Approach to the Employment of Graduates in Uzbekistan

On 8 August 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired an expanded meeting which set clear tasks to improve the employment prospects of graduates across the country.

Building on this initiative, on 12 September 2025, a large-scale gathering of leadership members from universities across Uzbekistan highlighted the importance of digital solutions for career development and officially introduced the Career Centre platform - a unified system that will bring together universities, employers and students.

The Career Centre platform was developed by the WIUT Career Development Centre team in collaboration with WIUT alumni. It provides every student with access to vacancies, internships and career growth opportunities.

We thank the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and all partner universities for their trust. Together, we are shaping a stronger future for graduate employment.

The first day of Induction Week 2025 at WIUT has officially kicked off!

Today marks the start of an exciting journey for our new students at Westminster International University in Tashkent. As part of Induction Week, students were welcomed with inspiring speeches from the Rector, Dr. Komiljon Karimov and the Deputy Rector for Youth Affairs, Nizom Kadirov.

On day one, students had the opportunity to meet faculty members and gain valuable insights into their programmes, including course structure, modules and academic regulations.

WIUT Celebrates a Family Day!

Today Westminster International University in Tashkent welcomed staff and their families for a warm and joyful Family Day. The campus buzzed with laughter: children and parents enjoyed outdoor painting sessions, lively sports challenges and Zumba tutorials led by professional trainers from Chekhov Sport Club.

In recognition of the new school year, children of staff who are starting Year 1 were presented with backpacks and essential stationery packs to support their first steps at school.

We are proud to support our staff and their families, and to nurture a warm, family-centred campus community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special!

Memorandum of Cooperation Signed Between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and WIUT

A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Westminster International University in Tashkent. The document was signed by the Minister Laziz Kudratov and WIUT Rector Komiljon Karimov.

The Memorandum is designed to strengthen long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation in human capital development and to promote scientific and educational initiatives that meet modern requirements.

The parties will implement joint programmes and projects, including student internships involving ministry specialists, collaborative scientific research and practical application of results. Emphasis will be placed on curriculum development, creation of contemporary educational and research materials, and engagement of qualified ministry experts in teaching.

“Obod va fayzli mahalla – yurt ko‘rki” initiative at WIUT

A two-day hashar took place on 22–23 August as part of the nationwide “Obod va fayzli mahalla - yurt ko‘rki” initiative to prepare the campus for the new academic year.

WIUT members came together to clean campus areas, remove waste, carry out greening work (tree care), complete minor building repairs, and tidy walkways and public spaces.
