PURPOSE:

To undertake responsibilities for the customer service required to work with applicants and their parents. The main responsibility of this direction is to distribute the information to parents in way that is more comprehensive for them, and find effective methods to resolve issues they are interested in. The post is responsible for the management of this area ensuring a customer focused and facing process, timely and appropriate response and in accordance with the policies: Customer Relation Policy and Parental Engagement.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To help implement the customer relations strategy, providing first line advice to all enquiries from prospective students, their parents and others stakeholders;
  • To develop the principles and services and implement Parental Engagement and Customer Relations policies;
  • To handle problematic issues from applicants’ parents and explain to parents University rules, academic standards, assessments;
  • To collaborate with academic staff, University’s Executives to develop a family-friendly university climate;
  • To analyze parents’ satisfaction annually through conducting surveys or take feedback forms from visitors;
  • To be ensure that all enquiries records are maintained and inputted into the enquiry database;
  • To ensure the service maintaining the standards and quality of experience expected by the university for the services;
  • To create Parents community which could participate in WIUT’s promotional activities and social life;
  • To promote parents as partners by involving them in the decision-making process regarding parental involvement activities and university improvement;
  • To undertake appropriate duties as required and in consultation with the Customer Relations Manager / Head of Information and Customer Services

  • First degree in any discipline

Summary of Position and Key Responsibilities

Westminster International University in Tashkent is seeking Pre-University Members to work in Tashkent. Central to the vision of WIUT is to represent the excellence of Uzbekistan’s education and research capacity in the global arena. WIUT’s distinctiveness is primarily based on an atmosphere that contributes to the intellectual, cultural and social enrichment of students offered by a research-focused university. The language of instruction for all studies is English.

In your role as Faculty Member, you will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching, through planning engaging lessons, personal guidance and support to ensure students master and apply the material, as well as enable all students to make the best possible progress. The Teacher (Cambridge A-level) must be able to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and communicate this in an enthusiastic and imaginative way. In addition, they will be expected to contribute to the routine and extra-curricular life of the university, as well as that of the department.

We are seeking someone committed to the development, delivery and administration of a module or set of modules, intellectually curious and prepared to engage in research on issues relating to the economic development of Uzbekistan and Central Asia.

Programme Description

This course aims to enable Pre-University students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to make excellent academic progress, and for entry to top universities around the world.  

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Teaching and Learning

  • To teach on a range of modules within the subject area on pre-foundation and foundation levels, including the associated assessment setting, marking and review process in accordance with the University Quality Assurance and Enhancement process.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver purposeful and productive lessons to assigned classes.
  • Use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that encourage development of the students’ problem solving, metacognition, critical and creative thinking skills.

  •  По прибытии на дежурство осмотреть территорию объекта, проверить исправность освещения, наличие и надежность средств связи, средств пожаротушения, а также исправность турникетов;

  •  Знать особенности охраняемого объекта, его уязвимые места.

  •  Добросовестно исполнять служебные обязанности во время несения дежурства.

  •  При приеме объекта убедиться в исправности и надежности дверей, решеток, замков, наличии пломб и контрольных замков, материальных ценностей, расположенных на территории объекта, и принять под роспись, с указанием фамилий сдающего и принимающего в специальном журнале;

  •  Осуществлять контроль, за правильным вывозом и ввозом материальных ценностей и правильным оформлением разрешительных документов.

  •  В целях обеспечения надлежащих условий пропускного режима ассистенты СБ:

    - следят за функционированием распознавания и авторизации электронной системы биометрического доступа в МВУТ;

    - проверяют документы, дающие право на вход (выход) лиц, въезд (выезд) транспортных средств, внос (вынос) имущества на охраняемых  объектах МВУТ;

    - требуют от сотрудников МВУТ и учащихся студентов университета и академического лицея при МВУТ, а также сторонних посетителей соблюдения установленных правил;

    - выявляют нарушения, создающие угрозу безопасности людей, а также условия, способствующие хищению имущества, и принимают меры по пресечению указанных нарушений и ликвидации указанных условий.

  •  Охрану объекта осуществлять способом визуального и видео наблюдения за территорией МВУТ, путем обхода с перерывом во времен

    и не реже 3-4 раз за смену с последующей записью в журнале приема-сдачи дежурства.  

  • Не допускать на объект посторонних, а также знакомых и родственников;

  •  При задержании нарушителей общественного порядка, немедленно докладывать руководителю смены, и совместно с представителями администрации составлять акт;

  •  Заносить в журнал выявленные, при принятии дежурства, недостатки и доложить о них руководителю смены, также по возможности совместно с представителями МВУТ, устранить их в течении дежурства;

  •  Не разрешать парковать транспортные средства при въездах на территорию МВУТ, чтобы не создавать препятствий свободному проезду специальным транспортным средствам (Скорая помощь, пожарная и т.п.).

  •  Вести учет (выдачи ключей, регистрации посетителей и т. п.), а также разборчиво и аккуратно заполнять имеющуюся документацию на посту.

  •  Бережно относиться к имуществу, вверенному в пользование: обмундированию, документации, средствам связи, и оборудованию.

    Примечание:

         - Ассистенты СБ обязаны знать и строго выполнять требования правил противопожарной безопасности.

         - Знать места нахождения первичных средств пожаротушения в здании МВУТ и уметь пользоваться ими. Внимательно ознакомиться сo  схемами эвакуаций в зданиях, а также пресекать попытки загромождения коридоров, проходов, основных и запасных выходов, а также лестничных площадок 

         

АССИСТЕНТУ СБ  ЗАПРЕЩАЕТСЯ: 

  •  Употреблять спиртные напитки перед заступлением на смену и во время работы;

  •  Оставлять рабочее место без разрешения Начальника СБ и Главного специалиста СБ;

PURPOSE:

The Rector’s Office consists of the Rector and a set of Deputy Rectors who are members of the Executive Team, the Executive Team also includes the Deans and the Academic Registrar.  The Rector's Office has a Professional and Administrative support. This post is responsible for the administrative support systems, policy and processes.  The Executive Team is chaired by the Rector and it is the main Policy making body for Management and non-Academic issues.  The post is responsible for the organisation of the Executive Team including the support for the preparation of papers, the organisation of Executive Team meetings and related support meetings, including minute taking and monitoring of proposed actions.

 

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To manage the Professional Administration support and processes to the Rector's Office.
  • To ensure that all systems, documentation processes, administrative and management processes are aligned to the University’s polices and are 'fit for purpose'
  • To be responsible for management of the administrative staff assigned to the Rector’s Office under the Professional Administration and Support function, including the workload, working arrangements, appraisal, etc.

  • Ensure seamless operation of digital hybrid and online learning tools, including video lessons and webinars using platforms like Zoom or Teams.
  • Collaborate with academic staff and trainers to develop, curate, and upload high-quality digital learning materials such as recorded lectures, toolkits, and articles.
  • Create self-paced learning modules and ensure resource accessibility for all academic staff.
  • Implement best practices in instructional design to enhance the digital learning experience.
  • Provide training and technical support to academic staff on effectively using digital learning tools and platforms.
  • Develop guides, tutorials, and workshops to enhance digital literacy among faculty members.

Summary of Position and Key Responsibilities

This Senior Research Fellow/Research Fellow (SRF/RF) will engage stakeholders in applied high-quality  research, policy analysis, public outreach and capacity building. The Fellow will help CPRO influence public policy as a leading think tank in the greater Central Asia region to strengthen WIUT as an international research university, and grow its portfolio of research. Individuals with a strong commitment to applied research and outreach in public policy are encouraged to apply.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: INDIVIDUAL

  • As a CPRO team member, increase its ‘think-tank’ footprint connecting research with practice to inform policy and policy implementation, through interdisciplinary research. Include WIUT lecturers extensively in this process.
  • Design, plan and perform research on human capital and productivity in areas such as labor, education, health, related social sectors and future scenarios.
  • Strengthen and develop new research streams and enabling CPRO to impact research, policy and outreach based on internationally rigorous standards.
  • Leverage existing links with the CAREC Institute, the UN-Sustainable Development Solutions Network, CPRO’s International Advisory Group, and the Central Asian Futures and Foresight Association.
  • Develop complementary products, (a) short rapidly responding policy research and outreach with (b) rigorous, internationally recognized and peer-reviewed publications
  • Research should have local, regional, and international relevance; using quantitative and qualitative approaches as appropriate, collecting primary or using secondary data.
  • Strengthen and form relationships with different stakeholders. Generate external sponsorship for research and outreach activities.

From September to June 2024 year the CPRO team will produce:

  • 18 briefs to rapidly respond to specific current questions of policy leaders and development partners, involve them to verify questions and results are useful
  • 6 peer-reviewed research products submitted to international publications / outlets.
  • majority of products, work with WIUT researchers to develop research questions and seek sponsors to support diverse research—across each school and department.
  • Half of peer-reviewed research products, work with international co-authors.
  • The team generates research sponsorship toward off-setting CPRO’s operating costs.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Earned international doctorate (or nearing completion of degree) in a relevant discipline such as development economics, public policy, labor, education, or health sector specialist;
  • Five years of relevant professional and research experience on Central Asia;
  • Writing to inform decision making and develop practical policy, in addition to academic publications;
  • Capacity in public policy research and analysis. Including interdisciplinary and regional research to influence policy leaders and development partners;
  • A publication record in international peer-reviewed publications in English;
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders within and outside Central Asia;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and representational skills including fluency in English and Russian;
  • Strong experience revising, editing, and correcting their own work ready for submission to international publications;
